This pair of garden steamer chairs are built entirely from Grade A Teak with virgin solid brass fittings. The joints are mortice and tenon with doweling for total durability. Folding for easy storage they have a positional footrest and are completed with a made to measure mattress in green fabric - cream mattresses are now sold out for 2010. Teakita cushions are tailored to fit each piece of furniture from quality Nagata Drill fabric and feature zipped removable covers which can be machine washed.

We do not treat our Fine Teak garden furniture nor do we advise it. There is no need to treat Grade A Teak like ours. Manufacturers who treat their outdoor timber are either covering up unsightly timber or using the wrong wood.

 

 

Our source of Teak is the plantations on the island of Java. The Dutch who were the colonial power at that time, started these plantations about one hundred and fifty years ago. The plantations are now owned and managed by the Indonesian government agency Perum Perhutani, which is responsible for managing a strict policy regarding the size and quantity of trees felled each year together with annual replanting.
